CPWY Webinar – Your Path to Independent Prescribing (Tuesday 30th June 2026 at 7pm)
This one hour webinar brings together expert colleagues from practice, education and supervision to guide legacy pharmacists through the full journey to becoming an Independent Prescriber. Building on our five‑part blog series, the session will offer practical advice, real‑world experience, and clear steps to help pharmacists understand how to begin and progress their IP training.

Attendees will hear from:
- Nicola Goodberry Kenneally – CPWY Chief Executive Officer and Newly Qualified Independent Prescriber.
- Aneta Paluch – Independent Prescriber & NHS IP Pathfinder Pharmacist offering insight into the realities of training, supervision, and delivering care as a qualified IP. Including insight into the NHS IP Pathfinder.
- Dr Phil Xiu – Designated Prescribing Practitioner (DPP) providing a supervisor’s perspective on what good supervision looks like, what DPPs expect from trainees, and how to get the most from the relationship.
- Elsa Levene – University of Huddersfield sharing the academic viewpoint on applying for university, choosing the right course, and what prospective IPs should consider before enrolling.
- Solomon Abuede – Community Pharmacist Prescriber demonstrating how IP skills can be used to deliver private services and broaden clinical impact in community pharmacy.
The webinar will conclude with a Q&A session, giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions directly to pharmacists, educators, and supervisors who have supported or completed the IP route themselves.
