Pharmacy Clinical Training in Collaboration with DPP Support – September 2026 Onwards
The West Yorkshire Training Hub and DPP Support have launched a series of live webinars as well as live community of practice sessions.
Free NHS England-funded support for all aspiring prescribers, DPPs and qualified prescribers:
- Open to FTPs, intending prescriber trainees, DPPs and pharmacists who have completed their prescribing competencies.
- Designed to support safe, confident prescribing practice at every stage.
Webinars and communities of practice:
- Short, focused virtual sessions led by experienced pharmacists and GPs.
- Opportunities to collaborate with peers, share insights and discuss learning after each module.
- Flexible session times to fit around clinical practice and work commitments.
Practical, clinically relevant learning:
- Updates on current clinical guidelines and prescribing principles.
- Case-based discussions covering common conditions, including paediatrics, dermatology, respiratory care, pain and musculoskeletal conditions.
- Support with clinical consultation, decision-making and communication skills.

DPPsupport.co.uk is a free, nationally supported service helping post-registration pharmacists and foundation trainee pharmacists find suitable Designated Prescribing Practitioners (DPPs) to begin their Independent Prescribing (IP) training. The platform is part of an NHS England–supported directory designed to connect trainees with experienced prescribers and improve access to high‑quality supervision. It also aligns with national expectations for safe, effective DPP supervision, supporting both trainees and supervisors. DPPsupport.co.uk is endorsed by the National Pharmacy Association, endorsed by NHS England, and fully funded through the NHS England Teach & Treat Programme, making it free at the point of access for all users. |
