Autumn/Winter 2025 Campaign

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign will run from 1st October 2025 to 31st January 2026 with the expectation that most COVID-19 vaccinations should be completed by 19th December 2025.

This aligns the start date for both adult flu vaccinations and COVID-19 vaccinations which aims to support co-administration of flu and COVID-19 wherever possible to provide the best possible protection for patients ahead of winter.

The groups to be offered a COVID-19 vaccine in autumn/winter 2025 are:

  • Adults aged 75 years and over.
  • Residents in a care home for older adults.
  • Individuals aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed, as defined in COVID-19: the green book, chapter 14a  (Tables 3 and 4).

Pharmacy Team Resources

CPE has created three posters that pharmacy teams can use to help explain about vaccine eligibility this winter:

Who should have the COVID-19 vaccine this winter (Poster)

Information on immunosuppression and C-19 vaccination (Poster)

The NHS has changed who can get a COVID-19 vaccine this winter (Poster)

To support business continuity in the event of IT issues  in exceptional circumstances, where the IT system is unavailable which is beyond the control of the pharmacy owner, then the following record form may be used to maintain provision of the service. The record of vaccination must be added to the system as soon as possible after the IT system becomes available again.
