Reminder of Local and National Health Campaigns for Community Pharmacies

In October, we saw the first of two national health campaigns for community pharmacies titled ‘Pharmacy First’ which ran from 20th October – 9th November 2025.

The first local health campaign in West Yorkshire titled ‘Only Order What You Need’ will run between 12th January to 28th January 2026.

The ‘Only Order What You Need’ has been agreed with us at Community Pharmacy West Yorkshire and is a mandated campaign which all pharmacies in West Yorkshire must participate in.

Set out below for your information is the proposed timescales for the remaining health campaigns in 2025/26:

• 12th January – 28th January 2026: First Local Campaign: Only Order What You Need
• 2nd February – 22nd February 2026: Second National Health Campaign titled ‘Pharmacy First’.   Details on the campaign will be launched nationally and information cascaded to all community pharmacies.
•  March 2026: Second Local Campaign: Antimicrobial Stewardship dates TBC.  The campaign resource pack will be shared with contractors in February 2026.
