Pharmacy Walk in Consultation Service (WiCS)
The West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) Pharmacy Walk-in Consultation Service (WiCs) was launched on 1st February 2023.
The service will make available an additional 11,000 high quality, minor illness face to face appointments with a pharmacist to members of the public who are residents in West Yorkshire. These consultations will take place in the professional environment of a private pharmacy consultation room. The minor illness conditions for which members of the public can receive this service are the same as those for CPCS. These consultations will be in addition to and complementary to the existing national CPCS referral pathways. This service will increase community pharmacy resilience by providing additional funding for giving advice to eligible people about the self-management of minor illness conditions.
Contractors interested in service provision can read the service specification below.
Pharmacy Walk in Consultation Service (WiCS) Service Specification
All pharmacists providing the service on behalf of a contractor must have previously signed a declaration that they are competent to deliver CPCS.
Once a pharmacy has started providing this service claims will be made via recording relevant details on PharmOutcomes.
