Wakefield Weight Management Service

The Wakefield Weight Management Service is to be commissioned by Wakefield City Council in 12 pharmacies across Wakefield and expressions of interest to provide this service are now being invited (details below).  Closing date for applications is Monday 2nd July 2018.
The service aims to support people who have attended a Tier 3 Weight Management programme in Wakefield to keep track of their weight and other measurements once they have completed the Tier 3 programme.  

The pharmacy intervention will be for adults over 18 years and will include:

  • Initial consultation – goal review and taking measurements using Tanita Scales
  • Fortnightly checks to review measurements
  • Referral back to Wakefield Council specialist services if necessary
